A Message from Kris:

It is with great honor that I carry on for my late husband Richard Carlson, my beloved; a great man, who still has more to say. I’m over the moon happy to publish this treasured e-book I found in his archives for you. Peaceful and Prosperous: 20 Strategies to Make You Feel Abundantly Rich AND Happy All at the Same Time!

An Introduction to Peaceful and Prosperous by Richard Carlson:

I’ve spent approximately twenty years studying wise, healthy, and predominately, wealthy and happy people. I’ve hung out with them in an attempt to garner their secrets, meditated, practiced yoga, studied Eastern and Western philosophy, and read just about everything I could get my hands on. Two of my previous books covered these topics in a general way - Don’t Worry, Make Money, and Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff. And since writing Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff…and it’s all small stuff about ten years ago, I have been asked thousands of times, from some of the millions of readers what I do in my personal life in order to best walk my talk. In other words, exactly what do I do, and how do I live that enables me to be a happy, effective, and wealthy person. Since my life is not a secret, it’s my honor to share with you. What I’ve found is that what works for me, generally speaking, works for others as well. At least that’s what I’m told over and over again.

I have to be honest, however, that as much as I try to implement these ideas, I sometimes fall far short and it’s likely that you will too. But don’t worry when things don’t go perfectly. A large part of being happy is knowing that when you’re not happy, those feelings will pass. In the absence of panic or commiseration, you’ll be back on track in no time. The same thing applies to being wealthy. It’s not critical that you do everything right, all of the time. What is important is that you are headed in the right direction and are grounded in some core beliefs about wealth.

What’s nice is that it’s generally only those times when I’m not able to live these ideals that I become ineffective, lose my wisdom, get off course financially and become unhappy. That’s great news because it reinforces to me that the principles I write about here, really do work, close to 100% of the time, for many people. I hear over and over again from people that when they use these principles in their own life, they are happy as can be and living to their full potential. They make wise personal and business decisions, leading to large comfortable incomes, and they solve problems easily and quickly. Mostly, what I hear, however, is that people live with an intense appreciation of life, bringing the awe and wonder back to their day-to-day living.
